Blue Girl:
Blue Girl is a 1 year old American Pitbull Terrier. She is extremely friendly and eager to please. Her personality is adorable despite the fact that she has suffered a living hell in her short life. When our director, Christina first spotted her at Animal Control, she was a pathetic sight indeed. She had been suffering from Demodex so badly that she had almost no fur at all. "She looked like a gargoyle" Christina said. She is also missing a toe on her back right foot.
When we found out her condition was not contagious and was also curable, we put a hold on her and started treatment immediately. It has been a couple months now and you can see she is almost all cleared up. What a wonderful surprise to see her pretty blue spots and mask! She is heartworm free, petite and weighs approximately 50 lbs. Being so young, she still has some filling out to do. Blue Girl will be available for adoption after the first week in April because she has to be spayed and microchipped and needs to have the rest of her medication and some recovery time here at The DogHouse for a little R&R that she deserves so much.
