Meet Eden. Found as a stray in Collier County, this 9+-year-old lady was underweight & suffering from a bad case of heartworms. We also believe her to be mostly deaf. Poor girl had been so neglected her dewclaw had grown into her leg. Now at a healthy weight of 48# & heartworm free, she is now looking for her forever home. Eden’s past life left her with some weaknesses, but daily Rimadyl & supplements have her playful again. She would rather be an only dog… hates sharing your attention and is an absolute Velcro dog. She loves going for a car ride with you. She behaves with people of all ages though her past life has made her skittish of some & will get along with some other dogs, but definitely not all. She does well with cats & is in a foster home with many cats that she ignores. All Eden really wants from life is someone to whom she can be devoted, a good meal, & nice soft bed. Her ideal home would be as an only dog with a person who is home a lot. Eden is spayed, up to date on shots, & on HW prevention. Home and vet checks are required. Adoption fee is $100.
